Things That Make You Go Hmm....

After reading yet another book with a fisting scene, I can't help but wonder why the only thing I ever read with this type of kink in it is gay romance. Why aren't there any M/F fisting scenes?

So, how come no one's doing it...er...writing about it. lol. Is there no female demographic that would enjoy reading about something like that (which I doubt) or some unknown taboo in romance community that I'm not aware of (possible, I suppose).

What do you think?

Anal has only recently gone quasi-mainstream in MF. Only 10 years ago it appeared only in really extreme porn. One novel length erotica in the 80's that I read was entirely about building up to a girl allowing a guy to do anal with her.

Now me, I would be interested in seeing some F on M fisting action. But I get this funny feeling I don't reflect the mainstream end of the market. Most people I talk to even in the genre go: 'pegging, what's that?' ;)

I'm going to own up to something here, fisting fascinates me. Not that I partake in it, but being that I own my fair share of gay porn (ALL for research purposes of course), fisting is sure to roll along at some point in the program.

It would take a great deal of trust on behalf of the fisted if you ask me, for a guy to lay back and let someone do that. Females I could understand -- after all if a 9pd baby can come out, I'm sure a fist can go in easily enough :). As for why we don't see it in MF, I wonder if it comes down to the fact that women don't see the inherent mystery of lady bits. For us they are just 'there' or a monthly pain in the arse (so to speak), whereas for men they can be quite fascinating (if the sheer volume of male gyns and the stories on asstr.org are to be believed.

I've got a semi formed plot for a femdom storyline where I want to use the idea of fisting/trust - I've no idea how it would be received, but I guess I sell one copy to Emily :)

Woohoo Anne. Way to step up to the plate. lol.

I don't expect fisting to go mainstream anytime in the next decade (or ever probably) but you'd think you'd see more of it in the e-market. I seems to me that a M/F fisting scene would be a lot easier to write than a M/M one. I mean women are made to stretch...

*shrugs* It was just a thought. If I ever get back around to writing something with a woman in it, maybe I'll try to write one. That should make for some interesting research anyway. rofl.

If you're reading the book I think you're reading, that scene was written some years ago, and in a sub-culture where there wasn't much m/f of any description, but what there was did have the occasional m/f fisting scene. (And f/f fisting as well.)

If it's any consolation, the next book in my dystopian space opera series is an m/m/f, and is likely to have f on m fisting. Unfortunately, I've also got writer's block on that book...

Sorry to hear that Jules. Hope that pesky writers block clears up soon. *g* Actually, what I was after was M to F fisting. I've already read too much anal fisting. *bg*

Sorry, Amanda, should have made it clearer -- I was responding to Emily further upthread, but forgot to tag it as such. This is what happens when I open the window, then leave it for a while before writing a reply. :-)
