LAST WEEK: literary agency refering clients to their own wholly owned epublisher is:
Over the last year I have bought the largest number of ebooks from Lulu.com
The last 4 ebooks I've bought were from NY publishers.
I don't usually buy ebooks. I get them as freebies. I get them as trib copies. I win them in contests. In the last year, I've bought 2. One from MLR, one from Lyrical. On the other hand, I've acquired over 2 dozen through giveaways at Fictionwise, All Romance E-books and Ellora's Cave.
I buy a lot of books from Fictionwise, but I'm guessing you want to know who publishes most of the e-books we buy?I buy mostly Torquere books. I know a bunch the writers, and I'm right there when promo comes out, so I can note down anything that sounds interesting. After that, number two is probably Loose Id, with Amber and Dreamspinner slugging it out for third, and an occasional book from someone else if I see a good review or something similar.I tried buying direct from Samhain once (or rather, direct from MyBookstoreAndMore) and it was a singularly unpleasant experience. I probably won't bother repeating it; it's much easier to wait for Samhain books to show up at Fictionwise.Angie
