Well, physically I'm in Utah at my grandma's for the holiday. Yay! I
haven't had Thanksgiving here in more than a decade.
But online, I'm over at Mindy McG...
Why do these new places forget to do that? Drives me totally up the wall.
Hello people, how can you expect writers to entrust their work to you if they don't know who you are and what your publishing and business experience is?
At least that editing pay is based on the work done not some unpredictable percentage of royalty. But, yeah, I think I pay too little at three times that amount (just hired a copyediting only pass of previousl published work at $3/1000wd)
I checked out the site and the owner and staff are listed. They seem to be okay, but only time will tell. Good thing they have nice cover art. I stay away from pubs with horrible book covers.

We pay pretty well, I think, and I still have a hard time finding qualified editors. :-/
