Everything you need to know about Bar Publishing...

...is right in their introduction.

We offer services from getting your copywrite, full editing, formatting for all outlets and submitting to them. We can arrange book covers if you do not have someone that you use already use.

Our main goal is to stop Authors from getting ripped off by so called "self publishing" companies. We offer our services for a flat fee, no hidden cost. You keep 100% of royalties. No hidden fees everything is up front. This also includes the UK Authors.

We also want to publish the UK Authors that are shunned buy certain sites. As of this morning on October 24th, 2013 we have a new & talented author F.L Hope. We are so excited to have her on board!."

Snort. So they're offering editing services and can't even spell copyright? Priceless...

First of all, they offer much more than is posted above. They are also a traditional publishing company as well. They do not charge a dime out of pocket and I can call them with any and all questions. I wish you would try to do an interview with people before you slam them. Humans make errors, when you become perfect let me know.

Unfortunately there are humans that live a boring life and surf the net all da, then go to their blog and post lies just to seek attention. These people that enjoy posting negative comments about others, all they know how to do is hide behind closed doors and live in an isolated world. The other reason may be because, they want to bring visitors to a blog like this one, which to be honest its very ugly and poorly designed. Rumors from real people and clients of Bar Publishing are loving every minute of their contract. I for one was ripped off by several publishing companies and i regret not looking into Bar Publishing at the time. Now every time i visit my page i dance the whole morning and my fan count has doubled, not to mention that my sex life has improved. I have advice for the first individual who posted the comment above, wake up early, call a female or male of your choice, ask them to come over, have amazing sex, get up if you can, make coffee, and smile. I think that will help you a lot more in life. Peace, Love and Happines! Oopps i spelled hapiness wrong, OMG!!!!!!!!! Let me correct it...happiness! Cheers!!!

I am an author from Kansas, and i don't know what you are talking about. Bar Publishing is the best out there and i am so glad to have joined them. Please get your facts together. You have a boring life and your blog is one of the most ugly ones i have seen. You are a dumb and uneducated author want to be.

I am an author from NY and i also have gone with Bar Publishing. You use foul language on your about me here. I would not hire u as a publisher even if u were the last publisher in this planet. You are a poor excuse for an author.

I have to agree with the 10:42am post. We viewed your poorly designed blog and your profile picture seems to be hidden on all of your accounts, including Goodreads. The above post hit it right on the money "Fiona Glass" your books need a major overhaul. You sure need to move out of your cottage and see some action. I am also a NY author and to be quite honest i and my colleagues would not even think of reading your boring and completely old fashion so called books. Very poorly written. My advice is to go and find yourself a man.

Author from San Fransisco here. Your about me here on this so called blog.

"This blog is operated by part time author, full time bitch, Emily Veinglory [veinglory at gmail.com]--also appearing on:"

"Yes, I will consider any and all offers of guest posts, review copies and bribes (etc). Yes, I am interested in hearing information relating to erotica/romance publishers and will hold it confidential."

http://www.eroticromancepublishers.com/p/about.html

You mention that you are a bitch? Also you mention that you take bribes? So how much do you charge for bribes?

Is this how you treat your fellow authors? SIGH!! Priceless!!

This over a an over site! Please read your own post I just read and count the typos.......

Market: Forbidden Lust
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2013
I investigate any new market with an open mind but my suspicions began to form when I saw all the cheesy photography on the front page, my interest waned when I saw they take pretty mauch all romance and erotica genres and was extinguished when I saw that the pay a flat rat that amounts to $50 per 10,000 words.

But that's just me.

Website here. Owner Kayci Morgan.

p.s. If "Forbidden Lust was founded on the ideals that love and sex are a beautiful and wonderful part of the human experience and should celebrated, not censored" why the name? Shouldn't it be "Celebrated Lust"?

This is the link to the above errors done by the owner of this so called blog http://www.eroticromancepublishers.com/ Its a shame both comments at the beginning of this thread are from 2 authors that one can't spell and takes bribes, the other lives in a cottage who hides from every living creature and needs some sex in her life. This is the perfect example of 2 wallflowers that need to criticize others so they can shine. There is an old expression that goes like this, "Check yourself before wreck yourself." Priceless!!

Umm... what is the purpose of this post? I mean I get that your site is pretty much dedicated to the dirty laundry of the publishing world. However, don't all of us make typos from time to time. Yourself included? For instance, on your FB page post here: https://www.facebook.com/ballotskeep/posts/448927868483090 you had some lazy capitalization and such. Regardless, your message is still intact, is it not? Or on your blog's "About" page here: http://www.emilyveinglory.com/ where you type " 'Bout Me " when in fact, the proper way to create what you were trying to say would have been without it being capitalized, unless you're dealing with a prize fight type of situation and you're referring to an actual "bout". Even in that situation though, it would not be capitalized. Those are just a couple things I found in a few minutes. Now, please know that my statements are not meant to criticize, but merely point out that typos and occasional errors happen all the time. We often times will type slower than our brain is telling us what to say, thus human error comes into play. In fact, I would even wager you could find a few errors in my post. The real question of course would be, why would you? I mean, aren't you an author? Aren't many of us? Don't we have far more important things to do, other than sitting behind a keyboard and wielding our mighty "Broken Sword" (you see what I did there LOL). Can't we all just get along and play nice. I mean goodness gracious. I graduated from school looooooooooong ago. Let us all grow up. Shall we?

The purpose of this post is to provoke some thought re: submitting to the publisher. Although in this case the comments are far more informative.

Only 41 likes, tons of typos, poor art work...LOL https://www.facebook.com/ballotskeep

Ok I have looked at all the comments and to be honest nothing warrants the viscious attack on Emily's blog, she has duly copied what has been written down and then someone answered her and she answered as well nothing nasty it seems. Unfortunately, you guys have taken offence at bugger all as far as I can see and you are making yourselves look bad. You not only have unleashed personal attacks to Emily herself, you have launched attacks on her books her friends and her blogs and all because someone said Bar Publishing made a typo. I mean the last comment is the most childish I have seen so far " Only 41 likes, tons of typos, poor art work... LOL" Erm, seriously??? You really need to read a blog post before you type because you clearly didn't see that Emily was making a nice post about Bar Publishing, she can't help what other people type, get a hold of yourselves you look ridiculous and totally unprofessional!

To the 11:02 AM post. I been an author for over 45 yrs. With all do respect you seem to be missing the concept here, we are all authors and if there is a typo somewhere obviously we should all help each other out, but copying and pasting the specific location of the typo and posting it so others can view it, please? The bottom line here is that Emily has had a reputation of bashing others especially her own kind. There is no excuse for her character. She has bashed many others and through out my years i've heard many others complain about her bashing just so that she can shine, it does not work that way and yes we all make mistakes, but the key word here is "consistently" she has done numerous amount of bashing her own kind. Bar Publishing is an excellent publishing company and honestly i am from the NY area, many indie authors are noticing them and contacting Bar Publishing members to investigate the results, nothing but good has been mentioned about them. The lesson here which should be learned is don't start something and then think that many will feel sorry for you or you can get away with it. Emily started this whole scandal, and now you feel sorry for her? She has had a bad reputation for bashing many others across the board. This is not the first time. Good luck and please do research before making any post. All posts here i seen have stated facts, besides the first 2 above. I am ashamed to even participate in this ridiculous thread. However you can not hide the fact that she is a slams others when in fact she should be the one who needs to get her reputation if there is any hope of doing so, and clean it up.

Yes, I too am an author. And yes I do feel sorry for someone who has copied and pasted something that Barpublishing wrote in the first place and didn't correct their error, till after she had posted this. I still don't see why you people are so angry about a typo, that was corrected. I mean how was she to know at the time of posting that the typo was going to be corrected, I don't think this has been done on purpose and believe me I have seen a lot worse written about other publishers not from Emily, but to be fair, I think if you can't take a little criticism, you will not survive. Are you going to attack every single person who says something about Barpublishing? As I said, unprofessional.

Anonymous said...

You have to be kidding me, your actually not making any sense, or you don't conduct research well like your suppose to. I mentioned and my point is, don't paste something or criticize another when you "meaning author of post" can't spell and take bribes from others. If you need to be educated, please visit the about me section of this so called blog and the home page as well. As for your question regarding Bar Publishing if i will attack if anyone speaks bad about them, the answer is i will defend the party that was picked on for no reason. Open your eyes and think was it really worth it pasting something from any publishing company or author on an open blog? Come on now stop being so blind, and if your going to bash another make sure you are clean from errors. So on that note, forget about the question mark after my "blog" above, i don't have time like u do and spend a Sunday night chatting. I have a hot date with a hot man. I will have a cocktail tonight and make a toast regarding this childish and uneducated topic that was created by an individual who has a very bad reputation bashing others. By the way i can take pictures from the top of an exclusive lounge in NY if you want so u can enjoy a toast with us. bye & toodaloo! ;)

Lmao, you really are quite sad, also a bragger, don't like braggers. I take it when you read her blog about taking bribes you obviously didn't get the joke! Carry on defending all you like, fill your boots as you are making yourself and Bar Publishing look like childish kiddies in a playground, you are literally digging your own grave and I can also see that you get annoyed easily lol Again Emily has a blog, she can write what she likes about anyone and anything but, I would like you to tell me where she has "bashed" Bar Publishing in her own words and I mean in her own words, not the copy and pasted write up from Bar Publishing. I want to see proof of this so called "bashing" I have a feeling you won't be able to produce anything, enjoy your hot date :D

Hello i am an author from Chicago and i have to say that i also have heard the owner of this blog bashing many other publishers and writers. Bad rep she has and very few likes on her Fan Page on Facebook. Only 41 WOW! To the NY author, i love NY i hope you had a great time. I love the night life in the big apple.

Seriously... Wow. I'm not sure what's a bigger laugh, the Bar Publishing site or the anonymous comments all coming from the same IP address on this post. If Bar Publishing was AT ALL legit, they wouldn't have typos on their website, they would have a list of books for sale on the front page, and oh yes, they wouldn't charge fees. Money should ALWAYS flow to the author, whether in self-publishing or traditional. Bar Publishing is simply someone's half-baked vanity press. I hope nobody is seriously considering them. You can do better (and without paying) by going directly through CreateSpace, KDP, and Smashwords.

I had a brief encounter with BarPublishing, that just recently ended because I had to walk away from all the unprofessional and childish drama that goes up in smoke on a weekly basis. Ironically, a post to brag about their top Google search rating showed up in my facebook news and I decided to check it out. Lucky me, I landed here. And I must say its been entertaining, because I read a comment and thought yep that's Dean... skipped one and then read the next: Yep that is also Dean... oh and the one talking out their ass about not hiding behind doors but posted anonymous... Dean. And then I get all the way to the bottom of the thread to Ian Thomas Healy and when I read his informative comment about the posts all coming from the same IP address, I about laughed myself silly for... oh, I'd say a good ten minutes.

Thank you, Ian, you're my hero of the night and you didn't even know it.
