Storm Moon press "downsizing"

Posted on the Absolute Write forums: "The press has downsized greatly, so apart from a couple ongoing projects that we already have contracted in our queue and our open anthology calls, we are closed to submissions."

Yes. The owners have had multiple health issues. And they have offered most of us authors our rights back. They did get out 1099s, so that's something.

They're hoping to start again in a few years, when they have recovered from some ongoing issues.

I hope so too. I am have read some SMP stuff and it had a quirky element many similar presses do not have. Like they would take stories a little off the beaten track.

They let me write furries and gay postapocalyptic biker gangs and tentacle sex. Most places wouldn't touch any of that.
