#3: "Dude, you have it all wrong, the proper attire for a formal masquerade is no shirt and no pants... tie optional."
#2: Somehow the mask is the most lifelike part of the cover.... but at least the human and mask componants come from roughly the same dimension of (un)reality.

With special mention to "The Girl in the Golden Mask". If you think this is gold, I have some very valuable jewellry to sell you. Perhaps they thought 'yellow mask' would summon up the wrong kind of image entirely?

Shirtless and shameless!
Ha!
Well, they sell, and that is what matters, I guess.
Too true :)
Oh dear. Those are some very unfortunate, but very amusing, covers.
Love it! I'm STILL chuckling...
Clever! I;m not normally one for eromance but those were priceless.
Also, I think the title "Girl in the Yellow Mask" would inadvertently place the story in the Cthulhu Mythos :)
Love the humor and the witty take on the theme!
I want me an "I Am Curious Yellow" mask! Fun take on the theme.
Ha! Does make you wonder about the thought processes behind the creation of these gems.
Hahaha! Awesome post. :)
The cover to Masks is like the saddest mug shot I've ever seen.
Wasn't there an original Star Trek episode where they were naked, put into some spinny thing and changed bodies? (Or was that Gilligan's Island?) I have no idea why the cover for Mask made me think of this.
Ha! My favorite caption was the one making fun of the guy wearing a tie :)
Also, "tie optional" cracked me up.
#1...heh...just wow :)
When I was polishing up my post I went looking for pictures to include and considered using book covers like these with Amazon affiliate links but I couldn't get past how UGLY they were. lol
Kudos to you for having the courage to make that the theme of your post. *grins* Now, where are the cover artists who can make some great Masquerade covers?
