To be perfectly honest it blows my mind that people are offering romance novel ghostwriting work for
$1 per 1000 words--with a requirement for popular themes and conventional plot structure. Even in the current market a good writer would do better going straight onto Amazon.

That is bleeping ludicrous! :/ I know actual pro writers who've done ghosting work, and they get tens of thousands for one book.
Hell, I won't even sub to a short fiction market that pays less than six cents per word, and these ghostwriting "jobs" are only paying a tenth of a cent per word. O_O
I really hope nobody's taking them up on that. :/
